Certification Information
The purpose of “certifying” as a Police Dog Team is to show that you and your dog meet certain minimum standards. Meeting these standards ensures reliability on the street and credibility in court.
2006 Certification Rules
PDI (Police Dog I) certification includes obedience, article search, suspect search, and criminal apprehension.
PD II (Police Dog II) is comprised of tracking and detector tests.
